The East End of London is without doubt a hub of creativity, spawning high profile names such as Gareth Pugh, Henry Holland, Giles Deacon, Richard Nicoll and Jonathan Saunders (to name but a few) over the last couple years alone. The latest designer to shoot from Shoreditch to stardom? Shoe designer Atalanta Weller.

House of Holland Cut-out Shoes with Zip, £340.00

You may not know her name  yet, but Atalanta Weller is definately one to watch. A graduate of Cordwainers college in London, she is the designer behind the latest Henry Holland (House of Holland) Shoe Collection, which has yielded this sporty sling back with a sci-fi feel.

Atalanta Weller is also famous for creating a stiletto heel made from the reconfigured parts of a BMW as well as graphic woven ball shoes for Gareth Pugh, below.
 

This chick has got mad creativity skills with her futuristic designs. You could say she has re-invented the shoe.
