Alexander Wang Spring/ Summer 2010 Shoe Collection
Coming off his collaboration this year with the Gap, Alexander Wang has had all-American sportswear on the brain and he ran with a sporty theme once again for Spring.
The tasseled wedgie loafers and rugged, zippered sandal boots did not do it for me, but that does not mean that I wouldn’t wear the zipper boots. I just feel that this whole collection was somewhat lacking compared to Wang’s last collection.
“We want to create clothes that are timeless and classic,” Wang said a few days before his show. “Our girl wants investment pieces.”
Well if you consider sweatshirts, cut shorts and cut-out knee high socks as investment pieces, then this collection is for you. The whole varsity look reminds me of Britney’s “Oops I did it again.”
