Miuccia Prada closed the fashion month with a compelling Miu Miu collection that was quintessentially Parisian and more grownup than her previous collections. The shoes were quite simple and boring for me but Miuccia made up for it with furry heels and paillette-covered kneesocks.

A lust worthy collection, Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2009 Shoe Collection is fabulous, thanks to Marc Jacobs. He turned out thigh- high boots topped with ruffles and pumps balanced on pearl and glitter-covered heels which just look amazing.

I think that thigh high boots are going to be the ‘IT’ shoes of the fall season and an absolute must-have accessory.

Inspired by the Russian-Balkan folklore, John Galliano’s Fall 2009 shoe collection is absolutely brilliant. Set against a back drop of Russian snow, the show was just spectacular. The shoes are insanely fierce with wooden platforms and heels and pom poms.

The height of the heels is rather daunting and very few people will be able to pull off this look.

I am loving this very sexy and very wearable Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2009 Shoe Collection. The platform pumps where the platform goes into the heel are my favourites . I am so excited about them and cannot wait for them to be out. The shoes for fall have been extraodinary and YSL has followed suit with this outstanding collection.

The Lanvin Fall 2009 Collection was sensual and glamourous with Alber Elbaz was channeling the glamorous forties with chic skirt suits, leather gloves, fur stoles while adding a dash of colour in neutrals; black, charcoal and ivory and a touch of red.

The collection is for the modern woman with a cutting edge. She knows it’s a recession but damn it she refuses to look like she is going through it!

A lot of designers go for doom and gloom during this season but Francis Bacon, designer at Dries reminds us that the sun can still shine even when it is raining. I am loving the snake print sole. Could this be a new signature sole like Louboutin’s red sole?

I like the Givenchy Fall 2009 Shoe Collection. It is practical and sexy and very wearable. I love the sandals with the feathers and furs but my absolute favourite is the fierce gladiator-style, studded sandal.

Could this be the new galdiator must-have sandal of the season, like the Dior one that Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) made famous in Sex and the City?
