I first blogged about these Balenciaga Open-toe Shoes back in February 2010 when they first came out in leather as seen on Rihanna below. For this year, they are in suede and I am absolutely loving them. Suede makes them look a little more dressy in the sense that you could wear them to the office or for a glamourous evening out!

The shoes have a suede covered stiletto heel that measures at 5 inches, an adjustable beige leather buckle fastening at the back of the heel.

While we are loving these Chloe 100mm Calkskin Ankle Wedges, we also harbour some doubts.
Honestly, We are torn! On one hand, we love the wedge look which is very summery and will add height, but on the other hand, they look as if you are wearing a pair of bricks on your feet. And if that is not bad enough, if you have big calfs you might as well just forget this look because it will not flatter your pins at all – especially with that ankle strap.
With that said, the shoes are very popular in Japan among schoolgirls and I predict they will be just as popular with fashionistas on this side of the pond!
