When Madeleine Vionnet founded her Parisian label in 1912, few could have predicted the revolutionary impact it would have. Vionnet eschewed conventional corsetry in favor of fluid draping, thereby creating a ground-breaking feminine aesthetic. Revived in 2009 by creative director Rodolfo Paglialunga, formerly of Prada, the label’s inimitable style is reinvigorated with asymmetric cuts, heavenly colour-blocking and fluid oversized bows.
