This is absolutely a breath-taking collection. Lim set the stage with a jaggedly geometric red runway and opened with a lipstick-red suit that he calls “the Suit.”
Phillip Lim’s assemblage included, rolled-top trousers and skirts, smartly tailored coats and pretty lace cocktail dresses, skyhigh platform ankle boots and beautiful and brightly coloured sandals that most women would be pleased to call their own.

Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte Spring/Summer 2010 Shoe Collection
Nicholas Kirkwood’s collaboration with the Rodarte sisters has proved to be a work of genius, giving us a futuristic, extravaganza of studded detailling and cut-out platform sandals.
However, although the shoes are fierce, they lacked in the bright, spring-cum-summer department as the colours were very dark. The cut-out detailling made up for it though, and gives that airy, spring feeling.

Marc Jacobs Spring/ Summer 2010 Shoe Collection
Newyork Fashion Week S/S 10 kicked off with an excitable crowd that turned out for the Marc Jacobs Spring/ Summer 2010 Collection. Among the crowd were Madonna plus toyboy and Lady Gaga who is Marc’s latest muse.
The clothes were brilliant but the shoes…..oh dear. Apart from one or two pairs, on the whole they were absolutely awful. Lots of flat and very open sandals.
I don’t know whether it was the model’s feet that made these sandals awful because if you look at the pictures, their feet look too big for the sandals or it could have been that the sandals were too small. Either way, they look ugly. Honestly, if you have big or wide feet, you would be screwed if you wore these. What do you think?
